Yarn Bomb

What can I say about this?

Well, first, I said, “What the??”  Then, “Ha! It’s knitting!… No, wait – crochet? Hmmm.  Not sure.”

It reminds me of a child’s mobile of the solar system.  How fun is that?

Either way, how did they do this?  I bet it was a lot of work.  What a delight to come across along a public street!

I couldn’t NOT smile, so I smiled – a lot   🙂

It just happened to be there one day.  Then it was gone the next time I walked by.

Kudos to those folk for sharing their playful spirit with me.

I like it.

      1. Some graffiti stays up around that area for quite a while, so, it’s a pity that security got to your project so quickly….
f.y.i. a blog follower posted a link to your blog on her Facebook after reading my post…. that lead to some positive comments there, also 🙂 “…Yes very cool – I spent about an hour on the weekend viewing his pictures, wanted to send him a email but couldn’t figure out where to contact him or even comment on some of his pictures. Sure do wish I had known about him after my mom passed away, she had bags & bags of wool that I would have gladly passed on to him for his crazy fun projects!!!”
        take care,

  1. Wow. I am so glad that you liked it! And these shots are amazing! And you are right, it is both knit and crochet. I had some people help me out with this one. I am so glad that people in town actually got to see it and take pictures. Thank you for the love!

  2. I love it…my daughter(age 6) and I are into textile arts and I was delighted to share these photos with her
